The Philippine coral reefs have been especially damaged, due to the increase in our population’s need for coastal development. Another big issue has been deforestation, where decades of this practice has left only 3% of the original forest cover left.

The school focuses on free education for Indigenous People and the poor but deserving students to finish their courses.
It provides accomodation, meals to the workers. It will assist volunteers to find their cheap, descent and secured place for board and lodging worth $25 to $30 per day. The volunteers will be given a scholarship slot as their project, they will choose the scholar. They can also assist the volunteers where to visit nice places.

The country seems very pleasing to the tourists but there are many citizens of Philippines who don’t have the chance to enjoy the culture of the country they live in as over 30% of the Philippines live below the poverty line. So there are NGOs and organizations that aim in uplifting the lives of the people in poor areas , providing them food and building a better community for them to live in. There are also areas that have been severely affected by some natural disasters that are neglected; they work in these areas to bring life back to normal.
Volunteer in Women’s Empowerment
VolunteerS at a women’s shelter in Philippines help promote female empowerment to some of the most disadvantaged and abused women in Filipino society.
Issues such as domestic abuse, trafficking, and abandonment can leave many women in Philippines feeling isolated and despondent. These issues are often not brought to attention and these women are left to live thier lives miserably. Here they build up toilets and proper sanitation facilities in these areas and make them aware of how important proper hygiene is. There are many medical outreach programs. So if you are someone from a medical background and are willing to work for social causes and are/were a medical student with no job experience this can be the opportunity for you all. These medical outreach programs set up various health camps in rural poor and underprivileged areas where they provide them with health check ups and make them aware of the various health conditions and how to deal with them.They do seminar on how to stay healthy and diet these people must take in order to protect themselves from diseases and medical conditions.
