Douglas College International Scholarships In Canada 2025 (Funded)

Application is invited to apply for Douglas College International Scholarships In Canada. Douglas College offers nearly $100,000 in entrance scholarships to new international students each year who have proven to be successful in their previous academic studies. Douglas College currently has two categories of entrance scholarships available for Fall, Winter, and Summer semesters at Douglas College.

The Douglas College International Student Scholarship for the academic year 2025 is designed specifically for undergraduate international students. This scholarship offers financial support by covering a portion of their tuition fees, with a maximum value of CAD 7000. Each academic year, up to five deserving recipients will be selected for this scholarship.

Douglas International Education Regional Entrance Award

No separate application is necessary. Students will automatically be assessed upon application to Douglas College and will be notified of this award when we send an offer of admission. 

Available to students from CIS countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan), Europe, Latin America, Middle East, Africa, East Asia, Southeast Asia and South Asia (Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal).

To be eligible, students must have applied to Douglas College by the official semester application deadline listed below.

Successful recipients typically have an above-average GPA (B equivalent or higher) and strong English language proficiency test scores (i.e. IELTS 7.0 and above, or equivalent).

Dr. Guangwei Ouyang International Education Entrance Scholarship

A separate application is required. Applicants must complete the entrance scholarship form (PDF) by the below deadline and email it along with all supporting documents to Douglas International. To be considered, students must have already applied to Douglas College.

Students are selected based on their previous academic performance and their engagement in their school, community, and/or personal development.

Students from all countries are eligible for these scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Douglas College International Student Scholarship, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:

Language Requirement: Proficiency in English. Eligible

Countries: Open to all countries worldwide.

Admission Requirements: Applicants must submit a High School Diploma with a minimum GPA of 60% or its equivalent.

English Language Proficiency: Applicants should meet the English Language proficiency requirements, which include a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 83 or a minimum overall band test score of 6.5 in the IELTS Academic module.

How to Apply Douglas College Scholarship

Step 1. Find Your Program: Douglas College has over 100 undergraduate and post-degree programs to choose from! Find a program open to international students and pick the one you like.

Step 2. Check Requirements: Check the Douglas College admission requirements and application dates and deadlines for international students.

Step 3. Check Program Availability: Contact International Admissions to make sure your program is available before submitting an application.

Step 4. Apply Online: Navigate to Education Planner BC, create an account, fill in your personal information, choose your program, and pay the $100 CAD application fee.

Step 5. Submit Your Documents: Scan your documents as separate PDFs and send the files to International Admissions to be checked and verified.

Please include:

  • High school/college transcripts
  • Proof of English proficiency
  • Copy of a valid passport
  • Copy of the Education Planner BC application summary

Douglas College International will get back to you about when and where to send the originals.

Step 6. Receive An Offer Of Admission: If you meet the College’s entry requirements, an offer letter will be sent within 7-10 business days and will include instructions on how to accept your offer and provide the deposit.

Step 7. Pay The Deposit To Accept The Offer And Receive A Loa: After you have accepted your offer, you will receive a letter of acceptance followed by more information about course planning, registration, new student orientation, and more.

Step 8. Apply For A Study Permit And Prepare To Arrive: Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) requires credential-seeking students to hold a valid study permit during their study in Canada. Students from certain countries must also apply for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)
